AKids Dictionary Privacy Policy

AKids Dictionary does not collect, store, or share any personal information from children or adults.

This Privacy Policy describes how AKids Dictionary ("the App", "we", "us"), developed and operated by AKids (HRME Pte Ltd), based in Singapore, handles information when you use our mobile application on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

1. Information We Collect

We collect no personal data whatsoever. We do not collect:

Names, email addresses, or any account information
Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
Usage analytics or behavioural tracking data
Voice recordings or audio of any kind
Photos, contacts, or any other device data

No registration or account is required. The App functions entirely without personal data.

2. Subscription Payments

AKids Dictionary offers optional in-app subscriptions. Prices are set and displayed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and may vary by country and over time. All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not see or store your payment details.

We use RevenueCat solely to verify subscription status. RevenueCat receives only an anonymous device token — no personal information is transmitted. See revenuecat.com/privacy.

3. Children's Privacy

AKids Dictionary is designed for children aged 3–10. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The App is completely ad-free and contains no social features, external links, or chat functions. No parental consent is required as no personal data is collected.

4. Text-to-Speech (Miss Sunny's Voice)

The App uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine. This operates entirely on-device. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted. The device microphone is never accessed.

5. AI-Powered Word Lookups

When a user searches for a word not in our built-in library, the App may send only the word text (no personal data) to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a child-friendly definition. See anthropic.com/privacy.

6. No Advertisements

AKids Dictionary contains no advertisements and never will. We do not partner with any advertising networks or marketing platforms.

7. Local Data Storage

The only data stored on your device is your subscription status (via RevenueCat's anonymous token) and your voice preference if changed. This data never leaves your device except for the anonymous subscription token to RevenueCat.

8. Security

All API communications use HTTPS encryption. The App requests only the minimum device permissions necessary to function.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
